The following products are used to create a custom solution depending upon specific corrosion related issues. By taking advantage of our complimentary fuel testing program, we will tailor a program to specific situations.

Kathon 1.5 FP is a federally registered water-soluable pesticide (biocide) used to kill microbial growth in fuel tanks and fuel handling equipment. Predator™ 5000 is an effective antibacterial and antifungal agent for preserving petroleum distillate fuels. Predator™ 5000 contains a unique combination of active ingredients to provide broad spectrum antimicrobial protection. Biocides are used to initially treat/shock the fuel…tank should be almost full. Treatment time is 48 to72 hours. This is needed for a complete microbial kill. A successful microbial kill will create significant amounts of dead biomass, which will cause filters to plug. Benefit – a clean tank, which will reduce the amount of corrosion in steel tanks and other fuel handling equipment, a reduction in maintenance costs, and less down time due to filter plugging and slow re-fueling.
Biocides

ECOCLEAN®
ECOCLEAN®, is used for maintenance after the implementation of the initial use of biocide. To sustain a clean fuel system this product must be added at the correct dosage each time there is a fuel drop. Over the course of several weeks the EcoClean will remove the residual biomass which may cause short term filter plugging. Each time fuel is added to a tank, organic material/microbials are re-introduced. More treatment is required at this time. EcoClean works as a detergent and dispersant which breaks down the organic material as well dissolves the microbial growth on metallic tank walls, pumps, and other fuel handling equipment. Fuel sampling is done at no charge… a bottom sample should be obtained once each quarter to insure the program is being implemented properly. Benefit – prevents corrosion by eliminating the by-products of microbials, reduces maintenance costs on prematurely replacing fuel system equipment, prevents filter plugging after system is clean, prevents injector plugging and premature failures due to ULSD, allows vehicles to restore lost power and fuel economy, enhances lubricity, and provides a significant reduction in downtime.

DRI TEK
DRI-TEK is used to reduce water contamination in fuel storage tanks; to inhibit bacterial growth; and even to function as a water “anti-freeze” during severe cold temperatures. Petroleum hydrocarbons such as crude oil, lubricating oil, diesel fuel and heating oil can entrain sufficient levels of water to cause operational problems with various equipment. DRI-TEK is a special glycol ether based blend of organic compounds designed to solve problems with water in fuel. Operational mal- functions can begin to occur in diesel equipment when fuel contains as little as 50 ppm entrained water. When water lev- els exceed 150 ppm, microbial (bacteria) colonization can occur at the fuel/water interface. This contamination can lead to filter plugging, cause equipment failures, and result in corrosive metallic fuel tank damage. Excessive water can freeze at low temperatures and the ice can block filters during vehicle start-up.
Our maintenance program includes complimentary regular fuel testing to demonstrate our products are performing.
